To Gravity’s Savage Grave Grounded

aloof, alone
star drift sea
strands in nebulous array
sunburst striking stone
accursed throne turned cinder
plundering gaussian fields
fervently grasping spirals
wired illusions allude such form
here my sworn litany lifts above sky rift
sifting through lingering silt
like lucid liaisons
gaze on horizon
engulfed in pulsar prominence
shots spray into sprawling
faint call of caressing
a dust no longer present
confined to perception
her cosmic complexion refracts
reflected on welled tear
to gravity’s savage grave, grounded

Fleeing From My Added Mouth

as stupid as i felt
when my shoe went flying
tailspin trampled
smashed bits in blinding dawn sun
of roaring wheeled metal

as dumb as when my frayed folders
ink blot scarred o-pee-chee
bled ruled paper
as i tasted knuckled grit

as foolish as the pointless plot
to crush that empty crate
jump, smash, crash gave way
to flustered face bursting blood
fleeing from my added mouth

it all looks like the work of genius
youth compiled on earthen crust
looking now from eyes that shed
shorn years lived
whence i held you

In Daydreams Serene

in soporific sentience settling
i sit, soaking up the stoical stillness
tis the paragon of peaceful ponderance
where tranquility trumps trepidation
as velvet pistils on parchment availed
of subdued splendored prose of ambrosia
gone are the ghosts of vespertine void
as visions spurred by dawn’s embrace assuage
the looming days of yore up yonder
have vanished amid the sun kissed blare
but dare not stare into the bladed onset
in present context, let us resonate in harmony
awash in one another’s solace
in daydreams serene

Revered Red Rose

revered red rose
plucked perfection
silken sheen of sworn silphium
passion implied through echoed glances
sparking bursts amid darkness reborn

gaze into ephemeral beauty
bathe now in the sweet aroma
ardently drink of its naked nectar
meandering through the copious crevices

the coming onset of the scarab horde persists
as breaths of dormant decay allay the boatman
reaping what was smote, in amorous embalming

witness the wanton wilting of lilting languish
spill unto the fetid fragrance freed
silence seeds the silt that striates solemnly
in semblances of stranded sky dust blanched
await the reunion of remnants restructured

Shedding My Soul for Bedding

In Chambers of abundant void
Decadent decay ensues
Peering past spectacled sphere
Allaying my undoing
Fear cast upon mangled mass
Dangling over moral mendacity
In pendulant descent
Shedding my soul for bedding
To usher in the dawn
Amorous armor, brittle and tarnished
Halted momentum
Of bare wire frame
Cognizance compromised
With time’s absconding
The hour’s toll looming
I pray, not awaken

Monochromatic Cell

Visions flourished with age
Cradled palette mirroring life
Unbound by consciousness

Subjective grandeur
In subconscious expanse

Ere I knew naught but this monochromatic cell

Though once I dwelled
In untold triumph
Freedom seldom deemed

Leaves absent; revealing lament
In reverie descending

Totality’s truth abiding
Fragile fruit bears mind
Vying for validation

Amid Eternity hastened
To taste infinity alone

Sun & Moon

once i held a heart, compelling
fervent wells of fleeting flight
desert stars would swallow words
as hours sifted through the glass

wandered through the glacial meadows
dwarfed by redwoods reaching sun
that they might alight with flames
to usher in the dawn’s refrain

stood on salted shores that stored
the startings of a siren’s song
longing for the shadow’s shifting
solitude of duties wrought

in those days of passioned plight
sights set on the looming bend
tender tears had soaked my shoulder
fallen from her anguished mien

unabashed pleas of pining
crashing into crumbling rock
placid waters, motion lacking
listless as the last long kiss

still, i would walk in those steps
till time should breach the black horizon
in a realm where forms are free
from frivolously guarded guise

how we stand and face this void
belies the eyes that felled my truth
quelled by thoughts of quietus
we cycle as the sun and moon

Desert Rain

clutching tightly your hand
staunching pain and sorrow
your touch granting solace
shrouded by the morrow’s fog

enchanted fluvial strands
scarlet, amber shades of comfort
following trails of silk
leading to infinity

wrapped in cloaked warmth
immersive depths afire
where mountains shelter lava
and torrents loom above

in your eyes of euxine waters
lies the mirrored truth revealed
understanding far beyond
all things to myself concealed

words gently seep downstream
breathing life from up on high
speak the very essence sealed
scars wrought of vital tears

stumbling through empty hollows
clamoring to stay aloft
countless paths of which to follow
my eyes closed, i await ensconced

plated crust lay underfoot
strife forever imminent
hovering heaps of granite
bearing relevant consequence

cracking like roars of thunder
bearing into crashing waves
besieging crumbling earth
left behind as grains of sand

once again we find these forms
drawn by forces unexplained
driven by nature, our mother
blessing us like desert rain

Petaline Presence

the toilsome tasks of this tear trodden timeline
tethered to my imminent tomb have been trivialized
the hours spent in languid lament, granted life anew

aurous beams of your radiant persona have softly seeped
into every darkened corridor of my heart and mind
where once I dreaded a moment unfettered
felled by fiery fear, fraught with forlornness

I am left hapless to ponder this prose
purloined from the Pleiades and placed within my pith
opalescent pleas impassioned

as each falling grain slips through narrowed neck
another thought of you finds its home
to tell of your story

my affinity for every facet of your precious plight had flourished
as it stood to watch its own reflection

words will never weave the wonders of the world
upon which you so warily walk

your sonorous song has shone upon these wintry woes
whispering ward amid walls of wrought ores

the tortuous descent of time’s pendulum no longer persists
replaced with your petaline presence
permeating my paltry personage

Her Poem

time and circumstance
holding force
on our union’s resting
turning harmony dissonant

when i listen
to the tones
of shrill cries
from passing stars

my efforts
to gain passage
are denied

left scarred
from having so misjudged
the heights
obscured by heaven
despite this heart’s bursting

still
i have felt
the shards of piercing
work their way into my song
words imbued
to shape the softened strings
that set this sallow soul
to brood

the day shall come
in the offset glow
of winter’s nuance
swept into
the undertow’s sway
where we will walk
tethered
in the hour
of silent prose
