As One

hours give way to days

stripped of all
but all things arbitrary

every breath a lulled semantic
waning further with each pull

messengers of life’s surrender
dole out cursory entreaties

just as i
they suffer in a solitude of silent truth

trudging mournfully through the morass
in erstwhile lamentation

writhing in the paradox
of reverie amid eschewal

pray your voice ne’er stray afar
come throes of disavowal

fleeing from these feelings dreadful
reticence of conscious dispose

as we are, hapless to unwind
the circumstance that is time’s bidding

still, i cannot stay the ingress
of my memory’s procession

though i failed to give you ward
when desperation marred your world

so profound was your disposition
that i can now forgive myself

should all the stars above
assimilate in singularity

i trust our souls
will always be as one

Reverie

my longing for thee
hast spanned the ages
formed whence mine eyes
felleth ‘pon the first star
heaven e’er hungeth before me

in the dawn of incarnations
dormant layeth mine heart’s behest
driven by duress tormenting
sated only by thy touch

happenstance at times denied us
sorrow then spurred conflagration
all consumed by thine impelling
left bereft skies turned to ruin

in reverie with ardor singeth
harmonies of our reunion
by the virtue of this plight
we walketh ’til the sun’s retire

Compendium

sink beneath
the sand of sorrows

hallowed catacombs
await

mortal tombs
hold treasures borrowed

sown into
the desert’s wake

time exists
in every tense

with all dimensions
coalescing

ancient tomes
foretell the future

shifting
in between dimensions

drift from ending
to beginning

softly
silent suns are setting

as we shed
our sacred secrets

into the abyss of freedom

Distant Earths

i could hide
for a hundred
thousand years

and still emerge
with the same spectrum
of debilitating fears

avoidance does nothing
to avail our evolution

for the breadth of our experience
carries on in our dearth

and distant earths
may yet reveal
our present form unknown

nonetheless

a consciousness
cannot eclipse
its own immortality
for all eternity

and yet . . .
