rogue planetoid
i ask of thee

release me
from this realm of rue

its shadow has consumed my soul
and left my heavy heart
in ruin

i have no need
for ceremonious retire
nor threnody

the only thing i now require
is respite from this parody

i wish to have my remnants strewed
upon the soil
whence they amassed

to someday be assimilated
by a wayward blade of grass

the burdens of the conscious mind
are far too grave for one to bear

bereft of vindicating factors
eschewing extrinsic fears

no sorrow
shall again be spilled
at my behest
i urge of thee

pray come the morrow
let me not again awaken
from my dream
