Thy Heart Impels

sable tresses sway untamed
free from shackles arbitrary
bound by naught
of blight nor burdened
truth voiced
with no known disclaim

that such serene sincerity
should stand amid a sea of prosy
bearing depths, defined aberrance
inherently as tempered twilight

my windowed pain refrains

through gentle truth
thy heart impels
reprieve from pressing peril

    1. I realized i needed to go about naming my poems as i do my freestyles. which is to take the most poignantly applicable phrase contained within. i think it is far more reflective of each piece. thank you for taking the time to check it out <3
