Sol’s Impart

if ever seas
succumbed to stars

the tempest
would beset my heart

and all the erstwhile
effigy

would seize the dirge
of sol’s impart

like petals

sprung to plaintive flesh

each rung
ascending

needless words

pray let me savor
every breath

the bounty
of her breast

confers

I find a poem so beautiful in composition….striking imagery, timbre, I can’t help but speak it over and over again, committing it to memory. It’s lyric and melody drips like honey from the lips. savor the sweetness on my tongue
